Coral Decay #4
Coral Decay #4
Coral Decay #4 is a profound sacred geometry meditation on impermanence — part of John Brevard's exclusive Decay of Time Series. Each piece begins with coral collected from climate-displaced shorelines worldwide — cast through a lost-form process in recycled zinc, the coral burning away to leave a haunting exact ghost impression in elemental metal. Like a fossil. Like a memory. Set permanently in sacred material form.
Hand-polished petrified wood slabs — themselves artefacts of hundreds of millions of years of geological transformation — are inlaid in deliberate sacred contrast: erosion and permanence, dissolution and crystallisation, deep time and present stillness held simultaneously within a single unified object of transcendent beauty and ecological meaning.
Handcrafted as a singular collectible art object, it embodies harmonic proportion, elemental depth, and energetic resonance within every cast coral impression and polished ancient surface. This is not simply furniture. It is a fossil of time cast in metal and memory — a consecrated monument to the beauty of what is lost, preserved forever in sacred material form.
Each sculpture is handmade and entirely unique—an object of purpose and reflection.
