Objects
Objects as spatial philosophy.
A chair is not furniture. A table is not a surface. A light is not a fixture. In this practice, every object is a proposition about how space should feel, how light should move through a room, how the body should relate to what it rests on, how a material should age over decades of use.
The objects in this collection are drawn from the same geometric intelligence that informs the jewelry and the architecture. Sacred geometry. Fractal mathematics. The proportional systems that appear in the nautilus shell, the galaxy arm, the bones of the hand. These are not decorative references. They are the grammar the work thinks in.
Furniture. Sculpture. Rugs. Lights.
Each category is distinct in its demands and unified in its underlying logic. A Verahedra chair carries the same geometric DNA as a Verahedra ring, the scale changes, the material changes, the relationship to the body changes, but the originating proposition remains constant. This consistency is not a style. It is a consequence of working from mathematical first principles rather than aesthetic preferences.
The objects are made for spaces that take their own atmosphere seriously. Private residences, estates, collector environments, architectural interiors where every decision has been arrived at with intention. They are not statement pieces. They are the right objects for the right spaces, recognized immediately by those who have been looking for them.
Materials are selected for their capacity to change honestly over time. Bronze that deepens. Stone that accumulates light. Textiles woven from natural fibers that record the history of their use. Nothing is finished to look new indefinitely. Everything is made to become more itself over decades.
Most objects are made to order. For site-specific commissions a sculpture developed for a particular wall, a rug designed around a specific architectural proportion, a light conceived for a ceiling height that exists nowhere else, write to john@johnbrevard.com.
