Dripping Table
The Dripping Table
A Fluid Form, Frozen in Time
Part of John Brevard’s Morphogen Series, the Dripping Table is a functional sculpture that appears to defy gravity—steel suspended in motion, as if poured from the ether. Abstract, stretched, and organic, its form echoes nature’s own morphogenic processes: fluid evolving into structure, chaos becoming form.
Each table is cast in polished steel, its legs falling like molten droplets. Above, a rich slab of hand-polished petrified wood anchors the composition—dark, solid, ancient. Together, they create a striking contrast: light against weight, flow against permanence.
Crafted as part of a limited edition of just 15 pieces, the Dripping Table is a rare expression of material duality and sculptural tension. More than a side table, it is a conversation—between elements, between moments, between the now and the eternal.
